These genius tips show you how to look 10 years younger naturally. These unique natural solutions will save you money, save your skin and save the environment.
Today’s beauty standards have made women search for the fountain of youth.
If you take a look at most aging celebrities, you’ll notice one similarity: Botox lines and disproportionate filler cheeks.
While the procedure does justice on some, you cannot say the same for everyone.
That’s why I advocate for natural ways to stay younger without the use of chemical-laden products or semi-invasive procedures.
Here are some beauty hacks I learned that actually work.
13 Ways To Look 10 Years Younger Naturally Without Costing The Earth
1) Apply A Natural Sunscreen
I can’t stress enough the importance of being protected against the sun for staying radiantly youthful.
Even if you’re aiming for a tan, you should still use a sunscreen to avoid skin-damaging effects of ultraviolet rays—including cancer.
One CNN report even convinces us to apply sunscreen to prevent “photoaging” or the visible signs of aging such as wrinkles, dark spots, and loose skin.
Aside from limiting your sun exposure during the day--coupled with a hat and an ample shade—you can protect yourself by applying a natural sunscreen all over your body and face.
Not only is it safe for a healthy amount of time under the sun, but it is also environmentally-friendly.
The oxybenzone content commonly found in commercially-sold sunscreens leaches into the sea when we soak in the water or through the sewers during home bath and showers. Oxybenzone has been discovered to have a destructive impact on our coral reefs.
So if you care for our Mother Nature just as much as you do for your skin, you may instead use a few ingredients that naturally contain SPF for making your own sunscreen.
Here’s how to do it:
Mix and melt in a jar some almond oil, coconut oil, beeswax, raspberry seed oil, carrot seed oil, shea butter, and essential oil.
Add zinc oxide powder (a mineral that doesn’t qualify as a chemical) and stir well.
You may store the mixture in a small, handy container so you can re-apply as needed.
These are the supplies I like to use when making my own sunscreen: almond oil, coconut oil, beeswax, raspberry seed oil, carrot seed oil, shea butter, essential oil, zinc oxide powder and clear plastic jar for storage.
2) Grow Your Brows
Despite what social media would have you believe, thick natural eyebrows look good on 30+ women if the aim is to look more youthful.
An interracial study discovered that a higher contrast of brows on women makes them look younger than their actual age.
This means that thinner and almost non-existent eyebrow hair seems to create an aging effect on most women.
So go on and groom your brows by filling them in instead of creating sharp lines.
3) Have A Good Workout
It’s common knowledge that a good workout can make you look better, shape- and weight-wise.
But did you know that there’s actually evidence that it can also make you look AND feel younger?
Exercise slows down cell aging by lengthening the chromosome caps known as telomeres.
This cellular-level rejuvenation results in a youthful-looking skin inside out.
And then there’s the suppleness and natural flush typically associated with cardio and some weightlifting. These are instant anti-aging tricks that can go a long way for your health, too.
Not only will you LOOK young, but you’ll also FEEL young enough to enjoy more birthdays and important life milestones.
4) Refrain From Using Black Eyeliners
The edgy cat-eye effect may have fetched you compliments during your younger party-girl years, but apparently, it doesn’t look good on droopy eyes with telltale signs of crow’s feet and puffy eye bags.
Black eyeliners for creating dramatic peepers are a known boo-boo for women 30 years and above. This is because they create an illusion of smaller eyes that seem tired and sleepy.
So give the eyeliners a break and embrace your naturally alluring eyes instead.
5) Wear An All-Natural Lip Gloss
Changing one item in your makeup routine can give you a youthful boost, and that includes picking the right texturizing tool for your lips.
Lip gloss creates an illusion of plumper lips due to its moisturizing effect, especially if you use all-natural ingredients.
According to cosmetic surgeons, our lips thin with age due to the loss of collagen in the area.
While they do suggest lip fillers, they admit that overdoing it will destroy the sculptural balance of the face which looks worse on older women.
Since we’re not going that route (and because lip fillers are NOT for everyone), I suggest that you make your own DIY lip gloss. I have a recipe for this that is all-natural and actually gives your lips a pouty effect.

6) Eat Anti-Aging Foods
Yes, you can eat your way towards a youthful skin.
There are certain foods that contribute to the vitamins and minerals (prominently, Vitamins A, C and E) your body needs for cell regeneration and skin-damage protection.
Among them are avocado, pomegranate, blueberry, and watermelon.
Eating more fruit, veg and natural plant based whole foods will do wonders for your skin.
7) Drink Your Greens
On the same note as above, you should also DRINK your veggies in the form of smoothies.
Green leafy vegetables such as kale and spinach are rich in Vitamin C among many other health components that promote anti-aging.
This Vitamin C content is important in collagen synthesis in the body, which provides elasticity and suppleness to skin to give it a younger-looking texture.

8) Tie Your Hair
One age-defying hairstyle that you should always use is to tie your hair.
Most celebrity hairstylists swear by it—ponytails can do wonders to your aging face.
Not only will it conceal a few strands of greying hair, but it will also make your skin look instantly more lifted due to the pulling effect of tying your hair back.
9) Give Soft Bangs A Try
If you want to conceal the fine lines on your forehead as well as your crow’s feet, going for soft bangs is a good idea to tell your hairstylist.
If you’ve seen Halle Berry’s recent look, you’ll surely be convinced that bangs cascading across the face seem to mask your real age as often revealed by wrinkles.
On your next visit to the salon, tell your hairstylist to chop bangs that aren’t stiff to give your face more texture.
Textured hairstyle helps give an illusion of a younger face, so you’d want to try that.
10) Hydrate Regularly
Dry, loose, and flaky skin is a sign of skin dehydration which is commonly observed in aging women.
As studies have shown, dry skin is more prone to wrinkling, and this is what makes you look older.
So drink your water regularly. Drinking around 8 glasses per day is recommended for a fully hydrated body that has healthy, youthful skin cells.
11) Follow A Skincare Routine Using All-Natural Treatments
You’re probably doing some skincare routine by now, but if you want to upgrade the level of nourishment that you can get from your treatments, I suggest that you ditch the chemically-prepared products for a few homemade skin recipes.
You can use a number of natural ingredients that are readily available in your pantry or through your local supermarket so you can make and store a batch; no more spending on over-the-counter beauty fixes such as moisturizers and facial soaps.
You can make scrubs out of granulated ingredients for exfoliating dead skin that’s been making you look haggard and tired.
Aside from this, you can also mix a few oils, plant extracts, and fruits for making body washes and facial masks to achieve healthy, glowing skin.

12) Limit Your Caffeine Intake
Coffee, tea, and sodas can stain your teeth permanently, making you look older as they seem to thin with constant drinking.
If you can’t give up caffeine for good, you may opt to drink your beverage using a reusable straw (I use these) so that the tannins in the coffee (or tea) won’t touch your teeth. Apparently, you’ll have to make do with cold brews and iced tea.
But if you practice good oral hygiene, you can confidently take your cup every day without fear of looking old when you flash a smile.
13) Avoid Stress Through Rejuvenating Spa Treatment
Many studies have linked stress with the aging of skin cells.
That’s why I suggest that you de-stress by treating yourself to a spa getaway—even in the comforts of your home!
You can make DIY shower fizzies and bath bombs, or massage yourself with rollers (like this one) and acupressure tools (like these) so you can ease your mind of everyday worries and pressures.
